Scrabulous Back On Facebook as Wordscraper
The Agarwalla brothers have brought Scrabulous back to FaceBook…sort of. After being sued for copyright infringement for making their tile-and-letter game a little too close to the popular board game Scrabble, Facebook blocked off access to the game for U.S. and Canadian users. But if Hasbro has planned to capitalize on Scrabulous's absence to promote its own licensed version of Scrabble (developed by EA), their excitement may be short lived. Scrabulous is back…except now it's called Wordscraper, uses round circles instead of square tiles, and of

T-Mobile Offers Parents Family Allowances
T-Mobile has announced it will be rolling out a Family Allowances plan in August with the idea of letting parents more easily manage how their children use their wireless phones…and keep those pesky phone bills under control. The plan will enable parents to give children an upfront wireless allowance for telephone minutes, text messages, and downloads (like ringtones, wallpaper, and games) via an online tool. When a child or teen exceeds their allowance for a service, the service shuts off and T-Mobile sends the parent a note.
"Parents across the country want their teens to have a mobile phone to stay in contact, but also want that phone to be used responsibly," said T-Mobile

Here’s another entrant to the expanding “nettop” or mini desktop PC market, the Shuttle KPC 4800 which is very similar to the KPC 4500 which was announced by Shuttle last year. This affordable mini desktop PC runs on Foresight Linux but users can choose to upgrade to the 32-bit Windows Vista.
In addition, the KPC 4800 features Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium or even Core 2 Duo processor, 512MB up to 2GB RAM, 80 to 160GB hard drive with provision for dual hard drives, optical drive, several ports for PS/2 keyboard and mouse, Gigabit LAN port, VGA output, D-sub port, serial port, front out connector, real surround out connector, center/base connector, and wireless port perforation.
Pricing for the Shuttle KPC 4800 can go as low as $279 for the basic Linux model and $479 for the Vista-powered units. Of course, you still have to consider the costs of keyboard, mouse and other peripherals that you need to buy to use the mini desktop.

Nokia N96 May be Landing October 1st
It seems as though it has taken forever but word on the street is that the successor to the Nokia flagship Nseries throne is set to drop on October 1. The rumor surrounds a UK release mind you, but Nokia has been pretty good lately in terms of making its handsets available in various regions at around the same time. We’re sure you know all there is to know about the N96 but just in case you need a refresher, it’s a beast. 16 GB of internal memory, microSDHC support for another 16 GB, sexy dual-slide form factor with a built-in kickstand for media consumption, signature 5 megapixel Zeiss camera with dual LED flash and so on. There is no word yet on an official US price point but we know early pricing in other regions translated to a tag up around $1,200. Clearly the actual US pricing will be significantly lower; at least it will be if Nokia intends to sell any on this side of the pond. We can’t imagine a better successor to the throne currently occupied by the N95 8GB. Well, except for the Samsung Innov8 maybe.
