Cell Phones Are Great!

Unless you are in a bum town like me and want to get Internet service through my phone!  My current provider apparently does not have data towers where i live therefore cannot use data while on their network.  How sad!  Sometimes I work from a coffee house and since Starbucks was stupid enough to give their wifi capabilities to tmobile they ended up with one less customer.

Buying A Gift

One of my good friends LOVES coffee and anything that is coffee related.  I was doing a bit of searching to find something that would suit him and his coffeetastic needs.  I found a great place where you can get Jura capresso products. They have some fantastic espresso machines that even make me squirm (and I havent even drank the coffee yet!).  I hope he enjoys it and, at the least with the money that he saves from going to expensive places, gets something delicious for me!

Nokia E61 First Hand Review

I am in California finally this weekend and had a great flight.  I just saw my cousins new Nokia E61 phone.  What a silvery piece of deliciousness it was!  I love the menus and the ease of use of the OS which is proprietary to Nokia.  My cousin Cheezer says he loves the phone because it has wifi, great PDA functions, nice big delicious keyboard, easy to use joystick, and a GREAT battery life (he claims he gets over 7 hrs of TT (talk time)).  Oh! And not to mention Google maps on the symbian S60 OS rox! That’s right, i said ROX!  That’s about it..Ah yes, its very thin.  Though it is wide (such as myself), it doesn’t make me tight in my pants and around the thigh area.  No sexual pun intended…okay…maybe a little..

BlackBerry 8100c Red Pearl Phone (AT&T)

Amazon.com Product Description
This major update to the popular 7105 brings the BlackBerry experience to a whole new level. The BlackBerry 8100c Pearl is not only thinner and lighter, it also sports a memory card slot, a music player, and voice dialing. Other features, such as Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE high-speed data, and the popular SureType keypad make this a complete mobile office solution. And of course, legendary BlackBerry push email is fully supported on the BlackBerry 8100c Pearl.

Design
Like the BlackBerry 7105, the BlackBerry 8100c Pearl is a departure from the form factor of previous BlackBerry devices. This BlackBerry handset is far more phone-like, and RIM’s engineers have managed to fit a QWERTY keyboard onto the handset’s slim frame. Each button on the keyboard shares two letters and the unit automatically determines which letter is the intended one based on what it predicts you are trying to spell. This unique predictive text technology, known as SureType, makes the BlackBerry 8100c Pearl’s handset’s diminutive size possible. SureType also learns the words you use most often, further enhancing your typing speed.

The BlackBerry 8100c Pearl sports a large 240 x 260 screen that supports over 65,000 colors–plenty of real estate to view your emails, Web browser content, messaging sessions, and attachments. The venerable BlackBerry trackwheel has been replaced on this model with an innovative four-way trackball placed below the screen. On the rear of the handheld, you’ll find a 1.3-megapixel camera and a self portrait mirror. The handheld’s microSD memory card slot is located inside the device, behind the battery. There’s also a standard 2.5mm headset jack that can be used with the included headset, as well as a mini-USB port for data connectivity.

Motorola RAZR2 V9 Phone (AT&T)

After creating a gadget/fashion icon in the original MOTORAZR, Motorola has upped the ante with the new RAZR2 V9 with cutting edge technology and enhanced features that make it even easier to use. Offered via AT&T, the RAZR2 V9 offers super-fast downloads and multimedia streaming via AT&T’s 3G HSDPA/UMTS network. It’s fully loaded with an arsenal of digital tools, including a 2-megapixel camera/camcorder, Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music and photo printing, MicroSD memory card expansion, dual color LCD screens, e-mail access, digital audio player, and full duplex speakerphone. And speaking of cutting edge, the phone’s stainless steel internal frame and cast aluminum housing support makes the RAZR2 V9 stronger and more durable than its predecessor.
AT&T Service
The RAZR2 V9 can handle high-speed data connectivity via AT&T’s 3G mobile broadband data network, which is available in most major metropolitan areas. The AT&T 3G network uses HSDPA/UMTS technology (High Speed Downlink Packet Access/Universal Mobile Telephone System), making it possible to enjoy a variety of feature-rich wireless services with speeds up to 3.6 Mbps. It also gives AT&T the advantage of offering simultaneous voice and data services. In areas where the 3G network is not available, you’ll continue to receive service on the AT&T EDGE network, which offers availability in more than 13,000 US cities and along some 40,000 miles of major highways. Providing average data speeds between 75-135Kbps, it’s fast enough to support a wide range of advanced data services, including video and music clips, full picture and video messaging, high-speed color Internet access, and email on the go.

With 3G connectivity, you’ll be able to access AT&T’s Cellular Video (CV) service and the Internet while on the go. Cellular Video features content from CNN, The Weather Channel, iFilm, Comedy Central and exclusive premium content from HBO and much more. It also features AT&T Mobile Music, which provides access to the Napster subscription music as well as Music ID song-recognition software, music videos and The Buzz music news portal. The handset is MobiTV and XM Radio Mobile-capable, so you can enjoy streaming live TV and digital radio all in one device. (A MEdia Max subscription bundle is recommended for accessing AT&T’s Internet, video, and music services.)
With its quad-band connectivity, this phone communicates over GSM/GPRS networks and AT&T offers voice roaming in more than 190 countries and data roaming in more than 130 countries.
